How many cookies should I eat? Most moms notice a difference after one cookie, but sometimes it's helpful to get a jumpstart with two cookies. Don't forget to drink plenty of water.
How do I store the cookies? If you're going to be eating your cookies within two weeks, no special storage is necessary.
If you plan to make your cookies last longer than two weeks, we recommend storing them in the freezer to ensure the best possible taste. The cookies will last up to six weeks out of the freezer, but since we don't use any preservatives, they'll taste best if eaten sooner.
Do you use preservatives? No. We want our cookies to be as healthy and natural as possible, so we don't put anything in them we wouldn't want our kids to eat. That includes preservatives!
How long does it take for the cookies to work? It varies by person, but most moms see an effect within 24 hours.
Can my husband/kids/other non-lactating people eat these cookies? Of course! We feed them to our husbands and kids all the time. They're delicious and full of whole grains. In fact, many customers report that they have to hid them from their family.
What if I eat too many cookies? We have yet to see anyone spring a leak from eating too many cookies. However, we have not yet perfected the no-fat, no-calorie tasty cookie, so portion control will be up to you.
How can I make sure that I never run out of Milkin' Cookies? We offer a convenient subscription service. We'll send you cookies on a regular schedule so you'll never be caught with an empty cookie jar.
Are Milkin' Cookies safe? Do they contain medication? Milkin' Cookies are very safe. They contain no pharmaceuticals or herbal ingredients, and are full of whole grains. Check out our ingredient list--nothing hard to pronounce or scary!
Do Milkin' Cookies contain fenugreek? We chose not to use fenugreek in our cookies because fenugreek can cause low blood sugars in premature babies and can cause breathing difficulty for people with asthma.
What makes Milkin' Cookies special? We use food galactogogues--foods that are known to increase milk supply--including oatmeal, nutritional yeast, flax seed and wheat germ.
Are they safe for people with nut allergies? Although our Chocolate Chip Oatmeal cookies are made without nuts, they are baked in a bakery that uses nuts in other recipes. Our Oatmeal Cranberry Almond cookies do contain almonds.
How many calories are in each cookie? We don't have time to exercise as much as we'd like, and we're still fighting with the last few post-baby pounds, so we've tried to make our cookies as healthy as possible while still keeping them tasty. Each cookie has about 190 calories and10 grams of fat. Each cookie contains about about 3 grams of fiber. They're high in many other nutrients, too. How do you ship your cookies? We ship using USPS Priority Mail, so cookies typically arrive within 3 business days. We do our best to ship cookies within 24 hours of the time they are ordered.
